Shariff records another win for Guyana at Chess Olympiad
Sasha Shariff recorded her first point in the FIDE chess Olympiad in Chennai, India in Round four of the tournament against Haiti. Shariff defeated Theophane Paul from Haiti, who is ranked 1493, giving her an opportunity to improve her rating points from 1183.

Sasha Shariff recorded her first point in the FIDE chess Olympiad in Chennai, India in Round four of the tournament against India. 18 year old Sasha defeated Theophane Paul from Haiti who is ranked 1493. Sasha’s current FIDE ranking is 1183. Each member of Guyana’s women’s team now have one point with 7 rounds left to go.
